Happy Mother’s Day

Today was a slow day. I was feeling ok as I’d had a lots of sleep, the others didn’t look so perky. The Albatross and I had wandered out at 9am for breaky, the others had not yet shown up. By the time we were back at 10am, the rest of the group had managed to drag themselves up, all in varying states.

On our way to second breakfast, there was a bloke in the moat/creek dragging himself on his bottom downstream. It is about 10m down from the road side. The cops turned up and yelled at him, he didn’t pay any attention and keep groaning as he dragged himself along. We wandered on, but 10 mins later we heard the fire trucks going to get him. I wonder who was going to carry him up the ladder.

We wandered up the hill today where you can look across at Alhambra. Awesome.

A short stroll back and people decided it was afternoon siesta time, and that we’d meet around 3pm for lunch. This gave us time to do some washing. Thanks Jo for the use of the washing machine in your apartment. We also worked out what we were going to do tomorrow and where we were going to stay.

Tapas and some nice wine for lunch, before J&B had to depart to fly back to Pommyland. Thanks Bridget for organising Granada, send us your invoice.

A very short stroll ensued, it was 37C. We found a lovely shop selling about 15 different types of gin, and you get it is this huge glass. Early dinner (8pm) and an early night.

The sun setting on Alhambra is rather pretty. This is the view from our room.
